The 39th AXA Raheny 5 Mile Road Race, is one of the most eagerly awaited events on the athletics calendar, the event will take place on Sunday 29th January 2023 at 3pm. This extremely popular event is growing year on year, and is expected to sell out quickly.
While the race has its a fair sprinkling of serious athletes, what has made the AXA Raheny 5 Mile so popular over the years is that it caters for runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities. And you wouldn’t go home empty handed, every finisher is guaranteed the famous Raheny 5 plaque plus a goody bag.
Entry fee includes postage of race number up until January 20th January, numbers to be collected after this date.

It is our great pleasure to welcome you back to Raheny for what we hope will be another truly memorable day.
We are delighted to welcome you back and we ask you to please help us by following these instructions before and during race day.
Entries are available until Saturday January 28 via www.rahenyshamrock.ie
If you have selected to collect your race number, there are two options available.
On Saturday you can collect your numbers from the Raheny Shamrock Clubhouse, old church Raheny village between 10am and 4pm.
Registration for the four Juvenile races will also be accepted on Saturday. Entry fee is €5.
You can collect numbers for the AXA Raheny 5 in the race HQ, Scoil Aine national School between 11am and 2pm on race day.
Juvenile race entries will be taken in the Cara Hall.

A Bag Drop is available at Scoil Aine.
Portaloo’s will also be available at the start/finish area.
We highly recommend the use of public transport with Raheny served by;
Dublin Bus routes H1, H2 and H3.
On the Dart, Raheny is located Northbound on the Howth/Malahide line from Dublin City Centre.
The Dart station is located 400 meters from the race HQ.
There is limited parking available in Raheny at the Churchand St. Anne’s Tennis Club with limited public parking also available in Raheny Village.
There are four juvenile races on the day, which are listed here. Entries for these races are taken in the CARA Hall, located beside the race start.
Entry fee is €5 and entries open on Sunday from 11am. All Participants receive a medal with prizes for the top three in each race.
Numbers can also be collected on Satuday.
Please follow theinstructions of the stewards and Gardai at all time. There are seven races on the card (including the 4 juvenile races listed above):
After you have completed the race please follow the steward’s instructions, slowly and carefully moving through the finish area where you will collect you’re goodie bag including the AXA Raheny 5 plaque.
The prize presentation for all prizes will take place in Scoil Aine School hall from 4.30pm aprox.
Prizes are available for the top 10 men and women. Top three runners in all age categories and the top three men’s and women’s teams and top three men’s and women’s masters teams
If you are a supporter, there are a number of spectator spots on the course where you will be able to see the race pass.
Near 90 Fm will broadcast the race live.
